Doronix Math Toolbox comes as a compact alternative to MatLAB’s plotting system. It is mainly intended for college students and teachers, as it doesn't offer the same complex features as MatLAB. This application can handle matrices, various mathematical functions, and allows the user to write up various algorithms and functions.
This program managed to impress me with its processing speed. It instantly generates graphs when the plotting function is called by the user. Also, the program doesn't require a great deal of system resources; it runs fast even on old computers.
The programming language that Doronix Math Toolbox employs is almost identical to the one of MatLab. Therefore, former MatLab users will easily understand the functionality of Doronix Math Toolbox.
The graphical user interface of the application is quite intuitive. The panels are efficiently organized in the main windows, and although they can be arranged in any way you want, most users will choose to leave them as they are.
I personally didn't like that Doronix Math Toolbox doesn't offer support for artificial neural networks. Therefore, if you need to plot the output of such a network, you should use another program to simulate the neural model, and only afterward plot the results in Doronix Math Toolbox.
Computer science and automatic control students should try this application as it might prove useful for plotting various functions.
